Here's where we try to answer some of your most frequently asked questions.............- Do I have to register with MakeUpMadness before I can place an order?
No. But you will be required to enter your details, just as if you were registering. If you shop with us again (and I'm sure you will!) you will have to enter your details again. Whereas if you register, the next time you visit you will only need to log in. If you do register, then you will earn reward points!
We use the newsletter to keep customers informed of a) any new lines that we have, or that we would be expecting to have in the coming month; b) any products that are being discontinued; c) any changes to the site. Occassionally we will also send subscribers promotional codes to use against goods (eg, discounts) or postage and packaging. And of course there are the Reward Points! (see next question). Newsletters are normally sent at the beginning of the month, but we would also email subscribers if we were experiencing any problems with the site, purely to keep you informed.
Reward points, or loyalty points, will be earned each time you make a purchase from MakeUpMadness. The more you spend, the more points you'll earn. You can use up your points from one purchase on the next one, or you can save them up to use against a larger purchase. How you use them is entirely up to you! However, points will not be earned, nor can they be redeemed, against postage and packing. For more information please see the Points System FAQs. You will need to register to receive your points!
- How do I pay for my order?
Credit or debit card payments will be taken via Nochex or Paypal secure servers - please see the information on secure payments. (You can also pay from your Nochex or Paypal account if you have one). If you prefer to pay by cheque or postal order, please contact us first. Your order will be despatched within one to two working days, if not the same day. If we have arranged for you to pay by personal cheque remember it will take longer for your order to be delivered as we have to allow for the cheque to clear the banking system. Please note that if cheque payments are not received at our office within 7 days of the order being placed, then the order will be cancelled. What are my delivery options? Delivery options are shown at checkout, and also we use a shipping estimator which you will see whenever you add an item to your cart. You will usually have the choice of first or second class recorded, although second class can only be used on parcels weighing up to 1kg. If buying jewellery, adding these items to your cart will not affect the shipping costs as we don't charge postage on jewellery. Overseas customers should contact us before placing an order.
Are your colours accurate?
They are as accurate as they can be. Every monitor is different, and shades can vary slightly on every screen. We do our best to match the shades as accurately as possible.
Our stock holdings are monitored regularly and any items that we sell out of should be removed from the store immediately. In the event that we overlook an item, and you purchase something that is not in stock, you would be given 4 options: - select an alternative
- accept a refund for that item
- wait until the item is back in stock before we despatch the order
- have the item sent seperately when it is back in stock
- How quickly will you despatch my order?
We aim to despatch orders within 1-2 working days of payment being received - quite often we despatch on the same day.
Most of our products are here to stay. It really depends on customer demand. Anything that proves to be very unpopular will be removed from the store to make way for something new.
A lot of our products are from probably less well known manufacturers, but they are all tried and tested before they are displayed in the store. If we thought an item was of poor quality then we wouldn't sell it, it's that simple. Of course we also sell products from very well known brands - these prices are low too!
